Description of Project:

After going a through an intensive interview process and subsequent recommendation by Red Touch’s Operations Director. AZTEC were appointed to deliver the full interior design and fit-out scheme on behalf of Red Touch. AZTEC, throughout the process provided the highest level of professional and regulatory advice to keep our client abreast of UK commercial regulations. AZTEC constructed a fast track , 4 week programme alongside CBRE’s facilities management team, ensuring zero disruption and removing any potential inconvenience during the works to the other tenants within the Grade ii listed building.

Walker House holds great significance to the city of Liverpool. When constructed, Exchange Flags used to be the Former military command headquarters in the basement installed over two levels, with over 100 rooms occupying almost 50,000 square feet of space. The complex is designed around a full-height central operations room, with surrounding storeyed sections containing facilities for both Royal Navy and Royal Air Force staff, including teleprinter rooms for both services, a telephone exchange, coding and de-coding rooms, radio room and security facilities. There is also an emergency generator room, which was powered by a diesel engine from a German World War I submarine.
