Paul Ashmore, Associate
My role within the company involves various aspects of support throughout every stage of the pre and post delivery process.
I am currently taking a MSC in Quantity Surveying and commercial management which helps me in providing vital cost, research and contract administration support. In addition I am responsible for furniture assessment and procurement in addition to business development and bid support. Previous to joining the company in 2010 I have gained considerable experience in the commercial market from concept through to pre start meetings working for both local and national companies.
I also have a degree in marketing which aids the company in communicating our values and gaining reassurance of our clients. I would describe myself as a personable, outgoing and hardworking individual who enjoys being involved with every aspect of the business in order to support the continued growth of the company.
Q – What is your favourite quote and why?
A – The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place… and I don´t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it. You, me or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life. But ain’t about how hard you hit… It’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. Powerful, motivational and poignant all at the same time
Q – What book are you currently reading?
A – Well… several Ron Burgundy – Let me off at the top and Irvine Welsh’s Collection
Q – What is your favourite drink?
A – You can’t go wrong with A LOT!! Apart from that… Journey’s End Sauvignon Blanc… and draught Peroni (sorry so commercial)… Beautiful!!
Q – What is your favourite food and where?A – Artisan baked loaf served with balsamic reduction and Olive Oil, Pan Seared Tuna with Wasabi glaze accompanied with ginger and chili flake sweet potato, finished with roasted pineapple skewer dusted with cinnamon sugar vanilla ice cream & toffee sauce. Sorry you must be starving after that!!
Q – How do you chill out?
A – Huge fan of reading and movies, there is always something to learn and take away from both formats, it never feels as if the time should have been spent in a different way.
