Iain Peacock, Managing Director
As MD, my main responsibilities involve financial welfare and planning, overseeing of site delivery and management of our joinery shop.
As a degree qualified civil engineer I also oversee technical build projects. Our track record is a testament to growth reflected in the development of the construction and manufactured joinery side of the business.
I have a wealth of experience built up over 26 years within the construction industry accumulating much knowledge securing and managing contracts from small works up to £2.5m making many contacts and friends along the way.
I would describe myself as a people person; able to communicate at all levels with an ability to thrive with the pressures that our industry creates.
Q – What is your favourite quote and why?
A – I was taught at school,“ it’s not the winning but the taking part that counts .” I didn’t believe it then and I don’t believe it now – Iain Peacock (also by David Frost)
Q – What book are you currently reading?
A – Dead Air – Iain Banks and Hitch 22 – Christopher Hitchens
Q – What is your favourite drink?
A – I have several of equal status- Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Provence Rose, Timothy Taylors and East coast Malts
Q – What is your favourite food and where?
A – Tough one. My wife’s cooking above almost anything I have eaten out. Halibut steak at Rick Stein’s restaurant in Padstow was a close second
Q – How do you chill out?
A – Doing all of the above. Plus I play my fair share of golf, garden a lot, walk and am a keen sports fan. But above all music is ever present in our house, from Reggae to Classical, all day every day.
